Our
story

Les Pins de César

In the 1900s, our great-grandfather César, a businessman from Le Havre, fell in love with a charming valley leading to the sea, which he planted with a thousand Austrian pines.

His daughter Marie-Antoinette, our grandmother, spent her holidays here with her 9 children, who adored this place where they were as free as birds!

It was entirely natural that, in their turn, our father and some of his brothers and sisters wished to build a house on this land to gather their children here.

Firstly, in the late 1950s, my parents built a small wooden house.

Between sea fishing trips, they continued to plant pines and many other shrubs…

Bit by bit, the little wooden house grew as their 9 children arrived.

My parents called this their ‘paradise’. They worked hard and this was their refuge. Quite naturally, they passed on to us their love of this place.

When they left us, we had to imagine the next chapter…

It soon became evident that we should share this magical place with guests who come here to relax in nature and enjoy the soul of this place.

After a year of work, Léa had redecorated with vintage pieces that we have been collecting for years, paying careful attention to telling the story of this place.

It was a slightly reckless gamble and we succeeded, with an incredible team!
